Sound familiar
Service is fine. But not remarkable.
It's usually not one big problem. It's the small things that add up. Often leadership, responsibilities and processes just don't fit together. Technology can help, but it doesn't fix every leadership problem. Things I know from hotels, and that I find again in almost every service business:
- Good people get promoted, but never trained to lead.
- Standards are documented, but not lived.
- Teams work side by side, not together.
- Requests sit, and follow-up is unclear.
- There are many tools, but no through-line.
- Leaders talk about each other, not with each other.

About me
What shaped me. What drives me today.
Started at 15 in the dish pit of an event venue, then Ritz-Carlton from 1997 — Atlanta, Washington D.C., Boston, Miami, and the Wolfsburg opening. At 31 my first hotel director role in Euskirchen, then Capella in Germany and the US, and about ten years as General Manager of the SIDE Design Hotel Hamburg.
Today I'm COO and board member of Vorreiter AG, building the company with my partners since 2023. I teach hotel management at the Bodensee Campus, and I work hands-on with AI, websites, sales, marketing and CRM — as part of my work, not as a buzzword list.
Two ways to work with me
Depending on what's in front of you: the whole company, or your own role. Leadership, service and digital workflows belong together for me.
How we work
I listen, I look at the day-to-day, and I work with the people involved on a workable next step. Depending on the task, leadership, service, sales or digital tools are part of it. No concept off the shelf.
Talk
We talk. You tell me where you are. I listen, and I say honestly whether I can help.
Read
I look at the operation, the team and the day-to-day. On-site, not at a desk.
Do
We agree what comes first. Then we stay on it until it runs.

Often asked
Quick answers, before we talk.
A few questions I get a lot. If something's missing, just ask in the first call.
What kind of companies do you work with?+
Service businesses that depend on good people and good service. Hotels and restaurants, but also retail, healthcare, real estate, consulting and trades with customer contact. Mainly in Germany, Austria, Switzerland, the Netherlands and Belgium.
Do you only work in hospitality?+
No. I come from hospitality and know it well. What I learned there carries over to any business where people serve people. Service, leadership and clean workflows aren't tied to one industry.
What does a first call cost?+
Nothing. 30 minutes, no agenda. You tell me where you are. I listen and say honestly whether I can help. After that, you decide.
Do you come on-site?+
Yes. The analysis happens on-site, not at a desk. I want to see how the day-to-day really runs. During implementation we stay on it until it works.
